We moved to Bend from Wisconsin nine years ago to follow our daughter and two grand kids.
After graduating from the university in Wisconsin and fulfilling my military commitment, I started on a path in the financial services industry. This led to my retiring as the CEO of a large subsidiary that was owned by a very large bank in Wisconsin. I sat on three boards serving as the president of one for six years.
I volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Wisconsin for five years before moving to Bend. I have been volunteering with the Council On Aging here for nine years.
Why I Serve
Someone once said, we all have our social rent to pay. In other words, we should all give back. Selfishly, I get a really good feeling when I help someone!
