We help connect older adults and their loved ones to information and services that support their changing needs as they age.
Since 1975, the Council on Aging has been an ally in aging, a trusted neighbor ready to provide answers, resources, and social connection opportunities to adults over the age of 60 and their loved ones. The Council on Aging is Central Oregon’s Area Agency on Aging (AAA). Learn more about AAAs and how they were established through the Older Americans Act of 1965. We believe in a world that ages better, together.
An Aging World
As people live longer and have fewer children, the world’s population is aging at an unprecedented rate. In Central Oregon, the population of adults over the age of 65 is forecast to grow by 55 percent from 2016 to 2040.
How We Grow Old Together
The Council on Aging of Central Oregon is committed to creating an age-friendly world to support this shift. We need to rethink how we construct and run our environments to support an aging population. Learn more about our mission and impact.
