Our Programs

Help Desk

Not sure where to begin? Our Help Desk connects you with information, resources, and local programs to support aging well. Whether you have questions about Medicare, healthy living, or caregiving, our specialists are here to help.

Food and Nutrition

The Council on Aging provides meals for adults 60+ through Meals on Wheels and Community Dining in Central Oregon, offering healthy meals, social connection, and education to support well-being and independence.

Caregiver Support

Caring for a loved one is challenging. We support family caregivers with guidance, referrals, support groups, and respite grants, offering essential resources and relief to help caregivers maintain their well-being.

Medicare Counseling

Our Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance-trained volunteer counselors offer free, unbiased, and confidential assistance with Medicare enrollment, comparing plans, and understanding benefits.

Oregon Project Independence

Oregon Project Independence provides limited in-home services to people who need a little help to continue living independently in their own homes. It is a needs-based program and is funded by the state of Oregon.

Caring Connections

Caring Connections matches volunteers with older adults for weekly phone calls or visits, offering an opportunity to build connections, discover common interests, and reduce isolation.

Pet Pals

For many seniors, fur babies are essential companions. That’s why our Pet Pals Program provides free pet food, supplies and veterinary care to Meals on Wheels participants in Bend, La Pine, Madras, Prineville, and Sisters.

Health Education Classes

We offer health education classes on topics such as nutrition, managing chronic conditions, and staying active, which provide valuable insights and resources to promote healthy aging.
