Everyone Has a Story. Share Yours.

Caring Connections is a Council on Aging program that matches a volunteer with an older adult for weekly phone calls or in-person visits. This no-cost program is an opportunity to meet someone new, discover common interests, and feel more connected to the community.

This program is open to anyone in Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook or North Klamath Counties, age 60 and older who would like to talk with someone regularly. Our volunteers are located throughout the tri-county, and are trained and background checked.

Program Highlights

  • Opportunity for meaningful connections with others
  • Calls double as a safety check, providing peace of mind to seniors and their families
  • Helps combat the negative effects of social isolation

“My Caring Connections volunteer calls me each week. He is conscientious and has never once missed calling me! I’m grateful to the Council on Aging for having this program. My Caring Connections buddy has helped a great deal in alleviating the loneliness that I feel.”
