As the Council on Aging’s Pet Pals Program grows, so does the need for support. We’ve expanded into Madras and Prineville and partnered with the Humane Society of Central Oregon, Street Dog Hero, FIXbend, and Wickiup Animal Hospital, reaching more older adults and pets than ever.

But with demand up 40% and funding down 32%, your support is more crucial than ever.
One of our biggest challenges is the loss of funding for veterinary care. Preventative services like vaccinations, exams, and spay/neuter are essential but often prohibitively expensive for older adults on fixed incomes. Without them, minor issues can quickly become emergencies, putting both pets and their owners at risk.
With your help, our Food Fur All fundraiser will restore veterinary care for Meals on Wheels clients and their pets, and we’ll be able to continue providing free clinics and in-home veterinary visits. Any additional money raised will go toward food and supplies to keep pets healthy and cared for at home.
