The Council on Aging has access to cost-saving programs that could assist you or a loved one in cases of hardship or on an ongoing basis. Services may include counseling on financial management, eligibility for Medicare (for adults over 65) and Medicaid (for low-income individuals and families), Social Security benefits, food stamps, energy assistance and more.

Programs available to low-income older adults include government benefits and grants for medications or other bills. Other assistance is provided from local senior centers, home care programs, employment resources, free meal sites, and much more.
