Since our founding in 1975, the Council on Aging has done much to improve the lives of Central Oregon’s older adults, their families, and unpaid caretakers.

Our work has been made possible by the generous support and shared commitment of our dedicated donors, foundations, volunteers and business partners. All of our expenses support our mission to connect older adults and their loved ones to information and services that support their changing needs as they age – so that they can age well in a place of their choosing.

Community Impact 2021

For our fiscal year 2021 (July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021) we were thankful to be able to help so many seniors in Central Oregon access services that have kept them safe, fed, and connected during another year of challenges due to COVID-19. Not an easy task when you consider that during the first six months of our 2021 fiscal year, COVID vaccines weren’t available! Yet, we managed to serve 150,000 meals to more than 1,600 seniors throughout our region, launched Caring Connections, and coordinated in-home care to meet the needs of seniors looking for a nutritious meal, companionship, care services and information.

We couldn’t have made as big of an impact without our hard-working Council on Aging staff, volunteers, and our generous donors. Because of them, we were able to keep our most vulnerable seniors safe, connected, and fed during these chaotic COVID times. To learn more about our impact in 2021, please click the link below:
